“You need to use every last charm to survive in this life.” warned Baba.
What I realized is that cheating occurs not of malice but a desperation and an inability to solve through legal means. I learned this first hand when I got caught for plagiarism in my freshman year of college: a senior friend sent me answers when what I really wanted was someone who could take the time to walk me through the concepts… In addition, I was constantly associating with the wrong crowd of students who would hound me for answers, two or three of them, for hours at a time.
I thought leaving the context of school would absolve this type of situation dynamic. Now my dad’s pride is at stake.
And so my world breathes a little deeper…
greedy on the inhale, relief on the exhale.

BF prophesied fidelity and fulfilled that dream even when I struggled for months to be dutiful.
Beyond belief is faith. Beyond faith is the divine.
I find more than ever that being a true friend stretches the mind towards discomfort. Harmony and discord in equal importance. The more I love my dad as a friend, the more brave I become. Because in his humanity, he is really not that different from me.
