Talk to anyone from the millennial generation and often you will hear about how service jobs no longer can sustain even basic quality of life.

The solution is accessing populations at scale. Instead of selling rackets or shoes or clothing one item at a time, checking out at the register one at a time; the future lies in reaching new demographics with the power and manipulation of the internet.

I lean against this sentiment. I find small businesses to have a more loyal following. I like the romantic feeling of working for the same company for many years: learning clients’ faces and greeting them when they come and go.

But as I’ve figured out, my natural inclinations require battle-testing. I can’t follow my dreams on a whim~ I hope over time, I’ll settle somewhere in the middle. Not just appealing to the masses, not appealing to single-digit influence. The liminality between!
