The most significant battleground for me is fighting sleep.
When there comes a day that I look forward to waking hours more than dreams, I will have undergone life-altering progress.
At least, this Christmas has been better than the last. Instead of heading to bed early because of symptoms, this year I was able to witness an act of brilliance with family-friends playing cards.
We played with four decks, three of which happened to be red and one blue. One woman at the table was able to stack the odds in her favor by only picking red cards, thus increasing the chances of having sequential pairs and triples.
Little moments like that get me giddy thinking about what is possible when you stay alert and pay attention.
Happy holidays to loved ones. You know who you are.
